The goal of the Music Zeitgeist was to give a different way of visualising the zeitgeist of the musics for the last decades. Using the lyrics from the top 10 songs of each decade and converting them into a Wordle enables a total new insight into something that was before quit inaccessible.

HackDay I created a simple tool that uses the Guardian API to skim the news for a given company name. Based on the number of positive and negative news article titles a guess is made of the likelihood of the company going under, and therefore wether you should backup your data for that service or not.

The idea originated from the then recent loss of data at Ma.gnolia and the announced closing down of GeoCities.
